🧠 Strategy Guide
This page is a practical strategy hub: how to scale your economy (gems + gold), build better decks, defend against raids, handle invasions, and prepare for the toughest boss fights. Use it as a checklist whenever progress slows down.
🏛️ Cities, Gems & Gold
- Leveling up the Empire Income skill on your Hero increases the number of Gems generated by your cities.
- Upgraded cities are a major source of Gems—invest in them early.
- Max-level cities cannot be invaded by other players.
- Defeating daily invasions from a country protects your cities from being lost the next day.
- Occasionally, a gold reward offer appears in the main menu. Watching that video is one of the fastest ways to get gold without farming waves.
- Some of the best deals in the game appear in each world and can save you over 50% if you’re planning to spend money.
- If you don’t repair your castle, you won’t be able to invade other players.
🛡️ Defense & Invasions
- Upgrade your Gate, Archers, Barracks, and Catapult to protect your gold from raids.
- The Defense Deck is separate from your attack deck and is used when other players invade your cities.
- Use units that hold position like tanks and archers instead of aggressive attackers.
- Archers are excellent for picking off fleeing enemies.
- Tanks alone can't stop cavalry or fast-moving units—support them with other cards.
- A strong defense setup often combines tanks, ranged units, and assassins, but there are many effective combinations to explore.
🧠 General Tips
- The game is not Pay-to-Win. You can win without spending money. Payments provide comfort and save time, not power.
- Mission chests can be saved and opened all at once to increase your chances of leveling new cards when you’re ready to train units.
- Some cards are more likely to appear in golden boosters or can be bought from Stanman’s shop.
- Stanman, the card vendor, appears on Fridays with exclusive cards—but you can unlock him to work daily.
👑 Hero & Card Upgrades
- If you don’t upgrade your cards, you’ll lose more often. Use every new copy to boost your power.
- Try to max out new cards as soon as you receive them. Saving mission chests until you're ready helps a lot.
- Improving both your Hero and cards is key to long-term progression.
- Don’t forget: upgrading the Empire Income skill increases your passive Gem income.
🔥 Bosses & Battle Strategy
- Some bosses like Arminius and Flavus are extremely tough—but they have weak points. Check our Bosses section for detailed strategies.
- Bosses have special abilities: area damage, fire, stun, and immunity to killshots or headshots.
- Keep certain bosses away from monuments or gates—their passive area damage can destroy structures without direct attacks.
- Against bosses like Vercingetorix, it's best to stay close with tanks and melee units. His ranged attacks are deadly in wide zones.
🃏 Card Packs & Boosters
- Golden packs have a high chance of giving you Black Cards (rare).
- Time-limited offers usually provide better value than buying cards separately—take advantage if you plan to spend.
